Role Overview

This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks for both batch and real-time processing. You will deploy and manage containerized data workloads on platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift, and manage data lakes on object storage (S3/ADLS) using formats such as Apache Iceberg.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable Spark/SQL data pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks for batch and real-time processing.
  • Deploy and manage containerized data workloads on Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift.
  • Manage data lakes on object storage (S3/ADLS) using formats like Apache Iceberg.
  • Implement CI/CD for data workflows.
  • Optimize Spark performance.
  • Drive architecture and modernization initiatives.
  • Ensure governance and compliance of data processes.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team.

Skills and Requirements

  • Proficiency in Spark and SQL.
  • Experience with data pipeline development (ETL/ELT).
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
  • Experience with object storage data lakes (S3, ADLS).
  • Knowledge of Apache Iceberg format.
  • Experience with CI/CD practices.
  • Strong understanding of Spark performance optimization.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.
