Primitive is the communication layer for AI agents. We build the primitives to let agents talk to each other, to humans, to systems. In real time, reliably, at scale.

About You

  1. Built massive distributed systems from 0 to 1.
  2. Your jam is Docker, k8s, IaC, CI/CD, Argo, etc. Even better if you have opinions on why this list is wrong.
  3. You've worked at a startup where infrastructure was yours to build and then yours to scale.
  4. Pumped about the autonomy and agency to build something people want.
  5. Should be one of the most AI enabled engineers in the world. You should have at least 2 agents running right now. We have an unlimited AI budget for all team members…and that should make you ridiculously excited.

Compensation

  1. $240K+
  2. 2-4% equity
  3. 95th percentile health/vision/dental
  4. Unlimited AI budget
  5. Incredible office in downtown SF. Equipment budget, meals, etc.
  6. Full relocation if needed
