About Rinse

At Rinse (YC S21) we're building the One Medical for dental. Beautiful studios, easy to book visits, and anxiety-free care focused on prevention, not the upsell. We’re not interested in an incrementally better approach to dentistry... we're on a mission to remake it. From a state of the art, judgement free studio experience to the highest standards of care, we're committed to helping our patients prevent otherwise preventable issues. We call this -- modern mouth care.

Role Title: Lead Dentist Compensation: $800 - $2,000 / day Employment Type: Full-time Location: 1763 Union St. San Francisco, CA

The Role

Rinse Dental is a four-operatory, associate-led dental practice. As Lead Dentist, you’ll have full clinical autonomy, leading the care for over 2,000 active patients (and growing). We are in-network for Delta Dental and fee-for-service for all other plans.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Deliver an array of clinical services—including fillings, inlays/onlays, crowns, simple extractions, orthodontics (invisible aligners), cosmetic procedures (like veneers and whitening), and emergency care.
  2. Perform comprehensive exams, develop individualized treatment plans, and educate patients on oral health and care options.
  3. Manage multiple treatment rooms and maintain a productive, balanced schedule—covering hygiene checks, operative care, same-day treatment, and emergency visits.
  4. Drive production by completing full treatment plans efficiently while maintaining uncompromising quality and patient experience.
  5. Lead and mentor dental assistants, collaborating closely with hygienists to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.
  6. Partner with studio and operational leadership to achieve production goals, uphold clinical excellence, and continuously improve workflows.

Qualifications

  1. DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  2. Current, active California dental license
  3. Current CPR/BLS certification
  4. Active DEA registration
  5. Minimum 5 years of experience (post residency) in private practice, DSO, or similar setting
  6. Comfort with modern technology and a willingness to adopt digital workflows
  7. Ability to work a Full Time schedule consisting of 5 days per week
