Job Responsibilities

  1. Analyze financial data related to loan requests.
  2. Evaluate loan documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  3. Perform risk assessments on potential loan recipients based on credit rating, borrowing history, and other specific risk factors.
  4. Record loan denials and the specific basis for declining an application.
  5. Monitor and report noncompliance with loan covenants.
  6. Maintain client relationships and provide superior customer service.
  7. Assist with technical underwriting issues and questions.
  8. Review loan documentation and vendor reports to identify signs of fraudulent activity.
  9. Develop and implement underwriting policies and procedures.

Skills Required

  1. Applied knowledge of underwriting fundamentals and standard industry practices.
  2. Understanding of basic financial principles and processes.
  3. Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  4. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  5. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  7. Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.

Interview Process

The interview process has 3-4 stages:

  1. Introductory voice note/video: For example, please send a video/voice note explaining your ideal job role that you want to pursue and why you are unhappy with your current job.
  2. Comprehension Test (summarization of a work-related video): For example, we will ask you to summarize some video on operations, product, or sales.
  3. Online interview: Here we will check basic skills that are required for the job.
  4. Offline interview/field assignment.

In each stage, we will evaluate the requirements that's mentioned in the job description.
