As a Senior Technical Product Manager for the UHC Technology Product & Benefit Administration team, you will lead the strategy, prioritization, and delivery of technology capabilities that support how health plan products and benefits are configured, administered, and scaled across the enterprise. This role partners closely with business, operations, engineering, architecture, and compliance teams to translate complex product and benefit needs into clear requirements, actionable roadmaps, and reliable solutions that improve speed, accuracy, and consistency across benefit administration processes.
This role has a direct impact on UHC's ability to bring products to market efficiently, reduce administrative complexity, and improve the experience for members, providers, clients, and internal teams. By connecting business outcomes with technical execution, the Technical Product Manager will help modernize core platforms, strengthen operational performance, and ensure benefit capabilities are delivered with quality, transparency, and measurable value.
- Designs, develops, and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.
- Responsible for the full product lifecycle management, with a technical focus, including strategy, design, development, management, and end of life of new, existing or acquisition products.
- Leverage market insights to understand market/customer needs as well as emerging technology developments and trends to identify new opportunities or adjust current product offerings.
- Balances deep subject matter expertise in the product, business use cases and strong technical aptitude.
- Accountable for delivering product performance against expectations and updates changes to a product portfolio to improve competitive position, and optimal product performance to meet customer and market needs.
- Responsible for cross-functional stakeholder management to include but not limited to design, engineering, scrum teams, business leaders, etc., functioning as technical expert with a fluency in development concepts and modern development practices.
- Positions in this function may require a background or degree in computer science or engineering.

- 5+ years of experience in product management, technical product management, business architecture, technology delivery, or a related role.
- 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise technology solutions in complex, cross-functional environments.
- 3+ years of experience in health care, managed care, benefits administration, claims, enrollment, or a related domain.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience leading product strategy, roadmap development, prioritization, requirements definition, and value measurement for senior-level initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery plans.
- Experience partnering with engineering, architecture, operations, compliance, legal, and business stakeholders in an Agile delivery environment.
- Strong understanding of modern technology platforms, APIs, data flows, integrations, and enterprise system modernization.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, dependencies, risks, and tradeoffs across large-scale initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using data, process insights, and stakeholder feedback to guide product decisions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills, including the ability to align teams without direct authority.
- Track record of improving operational performance, scalability, quality, and measurable business outcomes.
