About Polygon Labs

Polygon Labs is a software development company building and developing a network of aggregated blockchains via the Agglayer, secured by Ethereum. As public infrastructure, the Agglayer will bring together user bases and liquidity for any connected chain, and leverage Ethereum as a settlement layer. Polygon Labs has also contributed to the core development of several widely-adopted scaling protocols and tools for launching blockchains, including Agglayer CDK, Polygon PoS & Katana.

Your Role

As the founding Engineering Lead for the Polygon Fintech Labs team, you’ll own the technical vision for our application layer's suite of products. You’ll be the architect behind the MVP and will operate like a startup CTO, working closely with product and design from day one. If you’re excited about abstracting Web3 complexity to unlock everyday utility to payments, yield, programmable flows then this is your moment to build from zero.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Architect applications using React Native for multi-platform deployment
  2. Integrate partner infrastructure such as Crossmint or Privvy for wallet services, KYC, on/off ramps, and programmable flows
  3. Define engineering best practices that balance performance, modularity, and compliance readiness
  4. Translate product milestones into technical roadmaps and development sprints
  5. Collaborate tightly with product and design to turn financial UX into robust, scalable code
  6. Hire and mentor early engineers, setting the technical culture for a lean but high-caliber team

What You’ll Need

  1. 6+ years of experience developing production applications, preferably in fintech or crypto domains
  2. Proven React Native expertise, with the ability to own end-to-end mobile architecture
  3. Experience building API-integrated apps or financial interfaces such as wallets or programmable money flows
  4. Familiarity with KYC/AML processes, payments, FX, or yield-generating protocols
  5. Track record of launching early-stage products from 0 to 1 in fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience leading engineering teams or founding technical projects
  2. Excitement for building compliant fintech products in emerging markets
