About SyntheticFi

SyntheticFi is a fast-growing FinTech startup redefining the securities-backed lending world. We partner via B2B channels with Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs). Through our product, clients of RIAs are able to access the SPX box spread market, an institutional source of liquidity. We are leveling the lending playing field between individual investors and very large financial institutions. On the SPX box spread market, our users can borrow money to buy a house or a car at the same interest rate as financial institutions borrowing hundreds of millions of dollars. Since launch in early 2025, we have consistently seen 20%+ month-over-month growth. We have earned the trust of hundreds of RIA firms to manage over $2 billions in regulatory AUM through the SPX box spread market.

Who are we looking for?

As our Founding Product Designer, you will work directly with the Co-Founders of the company and have broad scope across both Product and UX design. You need to have a strong Product sense. We do not have PMs, so you will work with our Product Engineers to set product direction together. You should be someone who asks sharp questions to understand user workflows and business logic, and identifies what truly needs to be solved before jumping into design. You can expect to spend a good chunk of talking to users to understand and solve for their needs. You also need to have strong UI / UX skills. Our product has both B2B and B2C elements and requires a high degree of polish to meet the demanding taste of consumers. Under the hood, our product is one of the most complex financial products that retail investors have ever seen. Since we are the category leader, many of the UI / UX problems do not have a clear parallel in the industry for pattern matching. We expect you to push the envelope and set the standard here.

Requirements

  1. You have Product Designer experience and can demonstrate it with a design portfolio
  2. You have experience designing web applications and can think through complex B2B workflows
  3. You are familiar with Figma as a design tool
  4. You have experience building or contributing significantly to a design system
  5. You are based in the United States and have used various financial products in the US

Compensation

  1. Base Salary: $120K - $175K
  2. Equity: 0.25% - 1.0%
